Appreciate the little things

Those little things that make you happy, those people who make you laugh and smile like a dork. Learn from the past. Don’t let it break or define you. Things happen for a reason. Make sure you make the most of what you have. Show your family and friends how much they mean to you and how much you appreciate them. Smile and make the most of your life. Make it what you want it to be. Don’t take the little things for granted.

APRIL 11, 2012

Open your eyes. You are not made up of those words that hurt you or that number on scale. Or the expectations you feel you will never meet. You are made up of nothing more than you. Simply, beautifully, wonderfully, uniquely you. You are lovely and complex soul. And individually fascinating combination of thoughts, ideas, feelings, emotions. No other is as beautiful as you. Look past the mirror. Look at your soul. Only then you will see yourself as you truly are. Beautiful. So smile and don’t forget to love yourself.

“Babe”

Babe[beyb] n.

It is just a 4 letter word. People say it sometimes without any meaning. But the truth is, it means a lot. Whether it is the first time they call you Babe, with you getting butterflies inside, all fuzzy and nervous. Getting the urge to kiss them because they called you Babe.

Babe: it means you are theirs. Whether it might just be a slip of the tongue to call someone Babe, it means something somehow. This 4 letter word doesn’t mean no where near as much the 4 lettered word: Love. But it still gets you happy, and gets you excited they called you that. Babe. It is a nice word to be called by that special someone.

Random Thoughts

one. Always text her back, she gets really frustrated if you don’t. Don’t ever hang up on her without saying goodbye first. She has certain days where she has to watch the shows like Pretty Little Liars and One Tree hill. Surprise her. If she’s quoting Taylor Swift, either you’re in really big trouble or you’re making her happy. And when you hug her, remember that you are hugging the most beautiful girl world and that you should always hug her back tighter. Don’t hurt her, that will be the worst thing that you will ever do. You have no idea how lucky you are to call her yours. So cherish it. You have the honor of holding her hand. You have the privilege to kiss her when you want. You have the ability to make her happy. She isn’t just another girl, she’s that girl that can make you the happiest person ever if you give her the chance. She’s worth everything. Everything. Take care of her.

two. Why do relationships have to be different from friendships? Why can’t they last forever as well? Why is everyone so obsessed over falling in love when they are surrounded by people who already love them? Is it really so wrong to build a relationship from an already strong friendship? Why would anyone want to be in relationship with someone who isn’t their friend in the first place? Why does there have to be a cap on friendship? Fantasy is good and all, but is reality really that bad. Even when fantasy hurts and lies, why is it preferable to dig a deeper hole so you can fall further into it? Maybe reality isn’t as exciting as the fantasy people create, but sometimes the reality is easier, and some people deserve easy.

Never Let Me Go a Dystopian Film

This movie really touched my heart, it shows what unconditional love is. I never been liking dystopian films though but after I watched this I’ve gone searching for more :)

Never let me go is a 2010 British Dystopian drama film based on the fiction novel by Japanese-born British author, Kazuo Ishiguro.

The film begins with on-screen captions explaining that a medical breakthrough in 1952 has permitted the human lifespan to be extended beyond 100 years. The film is narrated by 28-year-old Kathy H (Carey Mulligan) as she riminisces about her childhood at a boarding school called Hailsham, as well as her adult life after leaving the school. The first act of the film depicts the young Kathy along with her friends Ruth and Tomy, spending their childhood at Hailsham in the ate 1970s. The school seems to be somewhat unusual. Students are encouraged to create artwork such as paintings and poetry instead of science and maths normal for school children, their best work gets into The Gallery. There is also a strong emphasis on keeping yourselves healthy inside. Miss Lucy quietly informs the students of their nature: they exist only as for transplants, and will die - or, rather, “complete - n their early adulthood. Hailsham is the remaining town left for providing donors.

As time passes, Kathy and Tomy fall in love with each other, but Tommy falls into a manipulative relationship with Ruth. They stay together throughout the rest of their time at Hailsham.

In the second act of the film, the three friends, now young adults, are rehoused in cottages on a farm. They are permitted to leave the grounds if they wish but are resigned to their eventual fate, seeing it as inevitable. At the farm, they meet former pupils of schools similar to theirs, two of which one day sight a woman in a nearby town who they believe to be a possible for Ruth, her “original” - the person she was cloned from. Ruth is ecstatic at the prospect, but when she, Kathy, Tommy and the two witnesses travel to the coast to re-examine the woman, there turns out to be very little resemblance. Ruth, bitter and disillusioned, rages that all donors are “modeled on trash”, meaning that they are cloned from the people lowest in society, or, in her words, “in the gutter”.

From the others, Kathy and her friends hear rumors of the possibility of “deferral” – a temporary reprieve from organ donation for donors who are in love and can somehow prove it. Tommy becomes convinced that ”The Gallery” at Hailsham, was intended to look into their souls and that artwork sent to ”The Gallery” will be able to verify true love. He hereby hints at his feelings for Kathy, but she misinterprets his words to signify that he wants to apply for a deferral with Ruth. She is visibly distressed. The relationship between Tommy and Ruth becomes sexual, putting a strain on Kathy’s friendships with the two. Kathy, feeling the need to distance herself, leaves the cottages to become a “carer” – a clone who is given a temporary reprieve from donation to do the job of supporting and comforting donors as they give up their organs. Tommy and Ruth’s relationship ends shortly before her departure, though it is not depicted but revealed through Kathy’s narration.

In the third and final act of the film, ten years later, Kathy is working as a carer. She has watched many clones gradually “complete” as their organs are harvested. Kathy has not seen Ruth or Tommy since the cottages. While working as a carer, Kathy happens to meet Ruth again, who is frail and unwell after two donations. They find Tommy, who is also weakened, and the three of them drive to the sea as a short trip at Ruth’s request. There, Ruth asks for their forgiveness for keeping them apart. She admits she has always known that Kathy and Tommy were meant to be together because their love for each other was real, whereas Ruth was with Tommy because she was jealous his closeness to Kathy and afraid to be “left alone”. She tells them it was the worst thing she ever did and now she wants to put it right, then claims she has found a means to do so: she has found the address of the gallery owner, ”Madame” from Hailsham, whom she thinks may grant deferrals to couples in love. With some reluctance due to skepticism, Kathy accepts the opportunity. Shortly afterward, Ruth dies on the operating table when another organ is extracted.

Kathy and Tommy are finally able to begin a relationship, sharing a passionate kiss in the abandoned boat by the sea. Tommy explains to Kathy that he has been creating art in the hope that it will convince Madame to give them a deferral. He and Kathy drive to visit ”Madame”, who lives with the headmistress of Hailsham. The two teachers sympathetically tell them that there have never been any such deferrals. They also explain that the purpose of The Gallery was to show people that the clones had a soul, to challenge the ethics of the creation of donors. Hailsham had been, in fact, the last remaining place to consider the ethical implications of the donor program and to improve conditions for clones. It had closed down owing to lack of funding, because society valued the medical advantages of the harvested organs more than the lives of the clones they came from. As they take in the news on their return journey, Tommy breaks down in an explosion of rage and frustration. Kathy consoles him, and the two weep in each others arms. Tommy is next seen being anesthetized on the operating table for what would be his last organ donation.

The film ends with Kathy still living, but knowing that her organ donations will begin in one month. She has come to an acceptance of her fate. Contemplating the ruins of her childhood, her voice-over ponders whether her fate is any different from the people who will receive her organs; after all, “we all complete”.

She wants to be the one that shows you that what she feels is something REAL

Thing is, you don’t realize how much yo mean to her. As much as she wants to talk to you, she’s waiting for you to put in the effort to show her that you care about her and that she truly does mean something to you, you know?

She wants to be the one to make you smile, she wants to be the one that you confide in when you feel like falling apart, she wants to be the one that picks you up when you feel like you have no reason left to stand, she wants to be the one that shows you that what she feels is something REAL. She’s willing to do anything and everything just to be yours and to show she care about you, but she wants to know that you’re willing to do the same for her, that she is someone important to you, that no matter how bad things get you won’t walk away and that you will try to show her that she is worth fighting for to you. She trusts you enough to let her walls down and open up her heart for you, even with the chance she might get hurt, but she doesn’t care because you simply worth it to her.

Last 2 weeks

My gym membership is about in 2 weeks time. How time flies so fast and I never notice that one year in the gym is almost over, it until I’ve got reminded by mom. She asked me if I still want to work out and got my membership renewed, of course I want to! I just don’t want to leave the buddies I have known there, the gym mates, the trainers, and the environment itself. Plus, I don’t want to miss my favourite classes namely the Zumba, Zumba/Bellydance, and the Hip Hop classes. But mom answered that my membership will be renewed on the late April to have the promo and discount availed. My membership will be off by the 4th of April this year, and I only now have 2 weeks to screw the gym and enjoy it at my most.

All of the marked dates are the remaining days of mine to go to the gym and workout. The fact made me sad because I have to leave at the moment that I am currently enjoying to have my workout at the Gold’s Gym. I do not even want to miss Hip hop classes at the gym; they’ve got one of the best Hip hop dancer, instructor for me. I just hate to leave. :(

All I ask of you is that you love me, forever.
